Aviation Leadership Forum: Mark Your Calendars

Leadership is the key to achieving aviation safety excellence and will demand innovation, strategic thinking, passion, skill and most importantly cooperation. In 2007 the Forum was inspired to bring together aviation stakeholders to share best practices around Safety and Leadership. 

The Aviation Leadership Forum brings aviation professionals together to collaborate in the development of their leadership skills to create positive change in the future of aviation safety. The first half of the day influential leaders in the community share best practices and wisdoms around Leadership and the second half focuses specifically on Safety. 

In February of 2008 the 1st Annual Aviation Leadership Forum came together with speakers that included Kirsten Barnes, double Olympic Gold Medalist, Henry D. Reed - Safety Analyst, Boeing, Anne Murray Vancouver Airport Authority and more http://aviationleadershipforum.eventbrite.com/.  

Last year once again we saw great success with impressive attendance and great speakers such as Michael O'Brien Vancouver Airport Authority, Catherine Roome Chief Operating Officer BC Safety Authority, and Bill Yearwood Regional Director for the Transportation Safety Board. http://aviationleadership2009.eventbrite.com/

Aviation Leadership Safety Award Nomination Package

This award is presented to those people and companies who demonstrate leadership and safety and deserve to be recognized.

Raising awareness of these achievements also provides an opportunity to share best practices inspiring further improvement and positive change in the aviation industry. 

Established in 2010, the Aviation Leadership Safety Award recognizes one team/organization and one individual for a commitment and contribution to enhancing aviation safety.

The Award will be presented at the Aviation Leadership Forum on April 13, 2010 in Richmond, BC
